How to hide a local disk in Windows

By default, Windows hides some system partitions (there may be several), as well as system recovery partitions that are often installed on laptops.

The user can also hide the hard disk partition so that it does not appear in Explorer. The reasons may be different: protection from inexperienced users, hiding important information, etc.

There are several ways to hide a local disk in the Windows operating system: using the Local Group Policy Editor, the Disk Management snap-in, in the Registry Editor, on the command line.
